This belief is at the heart of how I photograph and what drives every image I create.
HELLO, I’M AIMEE
OWNER & PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHER
I came to Washington, DC, with a heart for meaningful change. After studying political science at Tulane University, I worked in public policy—helping shape how people move through cities and build community through housing and sustainable transportation.
Still, I felt a creative pull I couldn’t ignore. I began photographing friends and life in a new city, discovering that the camera could be more than a tool—it could be a way to understand people and tell stories that matter.
For years, I documented nonprofit events across DC, and used images to inspire connection and activism.
That same storytelling instinct now guides how I photograph weddings: with empathy, structure, and an artist’s eye for the moments that reveal who you are.

My work begins with listening: creating space where every couple feels welcome, respected, and reflected honestly in their images.

My approach to posing is body-neutral and gender-inclusive, rooted in care and respect for how every person wants to be seen. When you feel at ease in front of the camera, your images reflect not only who you are, but how it felt to be there.
